The top 20 sellers averaged $25,575, with prices in that group ranging from $19,500 to the high seller at $48,000. This segment reflected steady demand for well-bred prospects, finished show horses, and proven breeding stock.
Skooterrific – $48,000
Leading the sale was Skooterrific (Scooter Kat x Lil Miss Shiney Nic), a 2021 gelding consigned by Russ Mothershead of Missouri. By Scooter Kat, one of the cow horse industry’s rising sires, and out of a daughter of the legendary Shining Spark son Nic It In The Bud, Skooterrific carried a pedigree steeped in cow sense and trainability. His size, shape, and handle made him a standout for buyers looking for a horse capable of crossing into reined cow horse, ranch versatility, or even rope horse futurities.
Chics Digg This – $35,000
Chics Digg This (Pale Face Dunnit x Chic In Tinseltown), offered by Top Fuel LLC of Oklahoma. Pale Face Dunnit needs no introduction in the reining pen, and his cross on Chic In Tinseltown delivered a flashy, balanced individual with the kind of movement and presence that catches a judge’s eye. The combination of proven reining genetics and a polished look put this horse in high demand.
SJR Talkboutdiamonds – $34,000
San Juan Ranch of Texas brought SJR Talkboutdiamonds (Smooth Talkin Style x SJR Dualin Diamonds), a young stallion prospect with pedigree and presentation to match. Smooth Talkin Style has proven himself as a leading sire in cutting and cow horse events, and crossed on a daughter of Dual Rey, this colt offered both eye appeal and versatility. The Fall Sale showed that quality still sells — and sells well. Buyers targeted horses that were both well-prepared and well-presented, rewarding consignors who brought horses ready to go to work. Cow horse pedigrees dominated the top of the sale, but reining bloodlines also made a strong showing, underscoring the crossover appeal between disciplines.
